twentyfifty was pleased to take part in this year’s Adria Future Summit, held in Porto Montenegro. The Summit brought together policymakers, investors, and business leaders from across Southeast Europe and beyond to explore the region’s next phase of growth, centred on energy transition, infrastructure development, and sustainable investment.
Representing twentyfifty, Founder and Chief Executive Luke Wilde joined a panel examining the realities of a more mobile, ‘borderless’ workforce.

Discussions highlighted both the opportunities and challenges created by increasing investment across the region – particularly the rapid changes already being seen in sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture.
As Luke reflected, growing demand for labour brings new risks as well as benefits. In particular, companies must pay close attention to the vulnerabilities migrant workers may face in recruitment and employment.
With evolving regulatory expectations – including forthcoming forced labour requirements in major markets – businesses will need to demonstrate robust due diligence across their operations and supply chains.
The Just Transition
The Summit also offered a powerful lens on the human dimension of the green transition. twentyfifty Account Director David Bezagu contributed to conversations on delivering a Just Transition, including the complex realities of transforming legacy industries such as coal mining in the region.
As investment accelerates and infrastructure evolves, it will be critical to ensure that economic transformation is inclusive, responsible and grounded in human rights.
Our participation reflects twentyfifty’s ongoing work to help organisations navigate these transitions, embedding human rights due diligence, strengthening governance, and supporting practical action in complex, fast-changing environments.
