Roundtable report: exploring HRDD in agricultural supply chains, India

09 July 2025
This month, twentyfifty convened a focused roundtable to explore shared challenges and opportunities in implementing human rights due diligence (HRDD) in India’s agricultural sector.
Having worked closely with clients in the Agriculture sector over many years – and built trusted, long-term partnerships – we recognised the opportunity to bring them together for a candid, collaborative conversation.
The session discussion was confidential to encourage open dialogue and peer learning.
twentyfifty Sector Director, Food & Agriculture, Helen Mant gave some context for the challenges and opportunities, and our expert guest speaker was Associate Director Rishi Sher Singh. Senior Consultant Venetia Paiz-Merino facilitated the roundtable.
Strengthening HRDD
Participants reflected on the complexity of agricultural supply chains and suggested practical approaches to strengthening HRDD in challenging contexts. The discussion surfaced valuable insights and highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving systemic change.
We’re grateful to all who joined us and contributed so thoughtfully. A follow-up session is planned for September to continue the conversation and explore ways to take forward the ideas shared.
